Beginning a new sport takes a lot of courage. Never fear! While it's best to take a lesson from a certified instructor, the videos in this section have step-by-step beginner lessons with examples that relate snowboarding to familiar things you do everyday. Start with Beginner Lesson 1: Intro to snowboarding, and work your way up.

Good riders look smooth because they maneuver their snowboard using tiny movements that most of us can't see. It only takes a little foot and knee movement to carve across the mountain. We'll reveal these simple motions and help you practice them in your living room and on snow. Soon people on the chairlift will wonder how you make it look so easy!
